I love sauerkraut. So much. Our coop carries Leelanau Cultured Veggies; fermented foods made right here in Michigan. They do amazing work. My favorite product they make so far is Curry Kraut. Make some baked curry tofu: press water out of tofu, pat dry, slice, arrange on pan, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with a little salt and plenty of curry powder. Bake at 350F until bubbly and brown, about 10 minutes, flip over and do the other side. Put that on some good bread with Vegenaise and a healthy dose of curry kraut; you got yourself a mean sandwich. Ginger Kraut is so good, that has got to be a cure for the flu right there. The Habanero Carrots are amazingly flavorful, but too hot to eat more than a few slices at a time. They are great on pizza. I am really excited about the Kale Kraut, we don’t have that yet; but I have a feeling it will be a favorite.
